Description

Anusol Plus Hydrocortisone Ointment works by combining anti-inflammatory and soothing ingredients to ease irritation and reduce swelling. Anusol Plus Hydrocortisone Ointment helps calm itching and discomfort while forming a protective layer over the affected area. It can be used for both internal and external haemorrhoids using the supplied applicator where appropriate.

Directions

Apply Anusol Plus Hydrocortisone Ointment sparingly to the affected area as directed in the leaflet. Anusol Plus Hydrocortisone Ointment is usually applied once or twice daily, preferably after a bowel movement. For internal use, attach the applicator nozzle, gently insert and apply a small amount as instructed.

Wash hands before and after use and do not use Anusol Plus Hydrocortisone Ointment for more than seven consecutive days unless advised by a healthcare professional.

Ingredients

Anusol Plus Hydrocortisone Ointment contains hydrocortisone acetate to help reduce inflammation and swelling. It also includes soothing and protective ingredients such as zinc oxide, bismuth salts and balsam of Peru, which help calm irritation and protect delicate skin.

The ointment base helps the product spread easily and remain in place on the affected area. A full list of ingredients is provided in the patient information leaflet.

Warnings

Do not use Anusol Plus Hydrocortisone Ointment if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. Consult a doctor before using Anusol Plus Hydrocortisone Ointment if symptoms persist, worsen, or if there is bleeding from the rectum. Avoid prolonged use, as extended application of hydrocortisone may thin the skin.
