Description

Daktarin Oral Gel contains miconazole, an antifungal ingredient that works by destroying the fungus causing infection. It helps clear white patches, redness, and discomfort associated with oral thrush. The gel formulation allows it to adhere to the lining of the mouth for prolonged contact and effective treatment.

Key benefits include:

  • Treats oral thrush and fungal infections
  • Soothes soreness and irritation
  • Targets infection directly at the source

With regular use as directed, symptoms often improve within a few days.

Directions

Wash your hands before applying the gel. Measure the recommended dose using a clean spoon or as directed on the packaging. Apply the gel directly to the affected areas inside the mouth, spreading it gently. Use four times daily after meals, or as advised by a healthcare professional. Continue treatment for at least 7 days after symptoms have cleared to prevent recurrence.

Ingredients

Active ingredient: Miconazole 2% w/w.

Other ingredients may include alcohol, flavourings, and stabilising agents depending on the formulation.

Always check the packaging for a full and up-to-date ingredient list before use.

Warnings

Do not use if you are allergic to miconazole or similar antifungal medicines. Consult a doctor before use if taking certain medications, especially blood thinners such as warfarin. Not suitable for infants under 4 months unless advised by a healthcare professional. If symptoms persist, worsen, or you experience unusual reactions, seek medical advice promptly. Keep out of reach of children.
