Description

Imodium Original 2mg Capsules contain loperamide hydrochloride, an anti-diarrhoeal medicine that helps control symptoms quickly and effectively. Imodium Classic 2mg Capsules act directly on the bowel muscles to slow intestinal movement and reduce fluid loss. This helps relieve urgency and discomfort associated with diarrhoea. Imodium Original 2mg Capsules are intended for short-term use in cases of acute diarrhoea.

Directions

Take Imodium Original 2mg Capsules exactly as directed in the patient information leaflet. For adults and children over the recommended age, the usual starting dose is two capsules, followed by one capsule after each loose stool. Do not take more than the maximum number of capsules stated on the packaging within a twenty-four hour period. If symptoms persist for more than forty-eight hours, consult a healthcare professional.

Swallow Imodium Original 2mg Capsules whole with water. Always ensure you stay hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids while experiencing diarrhoea.

Ingredients

Each Imodium Original 2mg Capsule contains 2mg of loperamide hydrochloride as the active ingredient. Imodium Classic 2mg Capsules also contain standard capsule excipients, which may include lactose and other inactive ingredients necessary for capsule formation. Warnings

Do not take Imodium Original 2mg Capsules if you are allergic to loperamide hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients. Imodium Original 2mg Capsules should not be used in cases of severe bacterial diarrhoea, flare-ups of inflammatory bowel conditions, or if you have blood in your stools and a high temperature. Do not exceed the recommended dose, as serious heart problems may occur with misuse.
