Description

Lockets work by slowly dissolving in the mouth to release soothing and mild anaesthetic ingredients directly to the throat. This helps calm irritation, dryness and minor soreness associated with colds or excessive talking. Lockets can also provide a comforting sensation that makes swallowing easier during throat discomfort.

Key factors:

  • Medicated throat lozenges for sore throat relief
  • Provide a mild local anaesthetic effect
  • Help ease cough-related throat irritation
  • Available in flavours such as honey & lemon and menthol

Directions

Allow one Locket to dissolve slowly in the mouth as required. Do not chew or swallow whole, as slow dissolving helps the active ingredients coat the throat properly. Adults and children over the recommended age can use Lockets every two to three hours as needed, up to the maximum stated on the packaging.

Always read the leaflet for specific age guidance and dosage instructions.

Ingredients

Lockets typically contain amylmetacresol and 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol as active antiseptic ingredients. These ingredients help fight minor infections and soothe irritation in the throat.

Lockets also contain flavourings, sweeteners and other excipients that give each variety its distinctive taste.

Check the packaging for the exact ingredient list, especially if you have allergies or dietary concerns.

Warnings

Do not use Lockets if you are allergic to any of the listed ingredients. If symptoms persist for more than a few days, worsen, or are accompanied by high fever, seek medical advice.

Keep Lockets out of sight and reach of children.

Excessive consumption may have a laxative effect due to sweeteners.
