Description

Nurofen Cold & Flu combines ibuprofen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), with a decongestant to tackle multiple symptoms at once. Ibuprofen helps reduce pain, fever, and inflammation, while the decongestant works to relieve blocked sinuses and nasal congestion. The fast-acting formula provides targeted relief from common cold and flu discomfort.

Key benefits include:

  • Relieves headaches and body aches
  • Reduces fever and sore throat pain
  • Clears blocked or stuffy noses
  • Helps manage multiple symptoms in one tablet

It is ideal for short-term symptom relief during colds and flu.

Directions

Adults and children over 12 years should take one or two tablets every 4–6 hours as needed. Do not exceed the maximum daily dose stated on the packaging. Swallow tablets whole with water, preferably with or after food to reduce stomach irritation.

Use for the shortest duration necessary to control symptoms. If symptoms persist or worsen, seek medical advice.

Ingredients

Active ingredients typically include ibuprofen and pseudoephedrine hydrochloride (or another decongestant depending on the formulation).

Inactive ingredients may include binding agents, coatings, and stabilisers.

Always check the packaging for the exact formulation and a complete, up-to-date ingredient list before use.

Warnings

Do not use if you are allergic to ibuprofen, NSAIDs, or any of the listed ingredients. Avoid use if you have a history of stomach ulcers, heart problems, high blood pressure, or certain medical conditions unless advised by a healthcare professional.

Do not take with other NSAID-containing products. Consult a doctor before use if pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking other medications.

Keep out of reach of children and use only as directed.

Frequently asked questions

  • What symptoms does Nurofen Cold & Flu help relieve?

Nurofen Cold & Flu is formulated to ease common cold and flu symptoms such as headache, fever, body aches, sore throat, and nasal congestion. It combines pain relief with decongestant support to help you feel more comfortable during illness.

  • How does Nurofen Cold & Flu work in the body?

The ibuprofen component helps reduce inflammation, pain, and fever. The decongestant works by narrowing swollen blood vessels in the nasal passages to relieve blocked sinuses.

  • Can Nurofen Cold & Flu be taken with other cold medications?

It is important to check labels carefully to avoid doubling up on similar ingredients, especially other decongestants or anti-inflammatory medicines. Consulting a pharmacist or healthcare professional can help ensure safe combination use.

  • Is Nurofen Cold & Flu suitable for nighttime use?

Because it contains a decongestant, it may cause alertness in some people. If nighttime rest is a concern, you may want to ask a healthcare professional about more suitable alternatives.

  • Who should avoid taking Nurofen Cold & Flu?

People with certain conditions such as stomach ulcers, heart problems, high blood pressure, or sensitivity to anti-inflammatory medicines should seek medical advice before use. It may also not be suitable during pregnancy unless recommended by a healthcare provider.
